Veterinary Parasitology

The relationship between parasites and their hosts may vary in duration and degree of dependence. Based on the nature of association with the host, parasites may show either loose association or permanent association.

Veterinary Parasitology is a branch of Parasitology, which deals with parasites that parasitize domestic and wild animals. Animal parasites are causing huge economic losses in terms of mortality, reduced weight gain, milk yield, hide quality and egg production and cost of control.
