Injuries and diseases related to parturition refer to the physical trauma and pathological conditions that occur during or after the birthing process in animals.

These may include vaginal and uterine tears, retained placenta, metritis, uterine prolapse, hemorrhage, and nerve injuries like obturator paralysis. Such complications are more common in difficult births (dystocia).
