The distal sesamoid of forelimb in ox is otherwise called as os navicularis. Sesamoid bones are absent in case of fowl.
Proximal sesamoids of forelimbs are situated behind the distal extremity of the large metacarpal and leverage to the flexors of the digits.
Phalanges of forelimb in ox is a long bone placed obliquely downward and forward between the large metacarpal above and the second phalanx below.
